Anything with pecans is always a hit with IT Guy. So when I was going
through my recipe folder the other day, I spied this little gem from
way back and decided to make him a batch. Thinking I had already shared
this with you all, imagine my surprise when I realized had not. Shame on
me! This is too good of a treat to keep a secret. So here you go!!
Toffee Pecan Bars
2 cups flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) cold butter
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 egg ~ lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 8-ounce package toffee chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
Cut in the butter until crumbly.
Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake for 15 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla.
Stir in the toffee chips and pecans.
Spread mixture over partially baked crust.
Bake for an additional 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool. Cut into bars.
Welcome!
Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

've been making these for years, and they are the BEST! My favorite pecan pie bar...I found the recipe in an Eagle Brand milk cookbook, and have been making them ever since. Thanks for posting, now I can pin it!
