Chocolate is my love language. Give me chocolate and I pretty much will do almost anything. Almost. Add some marshmallow in there and I’m toast. ;-) So I took my homemade brownie recipe and added a couple of extra things to it and came up with this. Oh. My. You guys...so good. Don’t wait to start a campfire to have some s’mores...although s’mores ARE delish. Make up a batch of these guys...you won’t be sorry.
S’mores Brownies
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs ~ beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
25 s’mores marshmallows (the flat kind. There are two sizes...I used the smaller ones.)
4 1/2 sheets of graham crackers
2 4-ounce Hershey Symphony Bars
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x9 inch baking pan with cooking spray then line with parchment paper, leaving paper hanging over all four sides.
In a medium sauce pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the sugar and stir until combined. Remove from heat.
Add the vanilla and beaten eggs and stir.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
Add flour mixture to the butter/egg mixture and gently stir until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into the pan.
Place graham crackers on top of brownie mix.
Unwrap chocolate bars and place on top of graham crackers.
Place marshmallows on top of chocolate bars.
Pour remaining brownie mix on top of marshmallows and spread to edges.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool brownies then lift from the pan using the parchment paper.
Run a knife around the edges to help loosen brownies, if needed.
Cut into squares.
