Ahhh...the lowly cake mix. I think they get a bad rap, don't you?
They're so easy to use and just not for cakes! These brownies are
incredibly easy and incredibly good! You don't have to measure a bunch
of ingredients to make a delicious pan of brownies. And not just your
everyDAY brownies, either! White brownies! Give 'em a try soon!
White Cake Mix Brownies
1 white cake mix
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix and brown sugar with a whisk. Mixture will be thick.
Add the egg and milk and stir well.
Add the pecans and the white chocolate chips and stir to combine.
Press mixture into prepared pan. (I use my fingers, sprayed with cooking spray.)
Bake for about 30 minutes until brownies are light brown and batter pulls away from the pan.
Cool on a rack before cutting.
Welcome!
Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!
