Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

This is another treat I served at our open house last week. Can I just say....YUM! There was a little bit of this leftover and I'm sure glad about that. It's one of those things that you think you're just going to have a nibble of and the next thing you know, you've eaten the whole thing. A fun treat to leave out for munching for the holidays. If it lasts that long. My advice is to make shortly before you have guests....or you'll find yourself making another batch because you've eaten the first one!!

Snickerdoodle Popcorn

2 3.5-ounce bags of microwave popcorn – popped
1 12-ounce bag white chocolate chips
Cinnamon/Sugar
2 tablespoons of butter - melted

Pop your popcorn and separate all the “duds” and “fluffies”.

Place all the popped popcorn in a large bowl and drizzle with the melted butter. Toss to coat then sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar..however much you like.

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and drizzle 2/3 of it over the popped popcorn. Toss to coat then sprinkle with more cinnamon/sugar.

Spread onto a lined, rimmed cookie sheet then drizzle with remaining melted chocolate.

Allow to cool so chocolate can harden. Break into pieces and store in s sealed container.

The stuff you need....

Separate all the duds and fluffies.
No one likes to break a tooth on unpopped popcorn.

Drizzle the melted butter on the popcorn then toss it.
This will help the cinnamon/sugar to stick to the popcorn.

Sprinkle on however much cinnamon/sugar you like then toss that.

Melt the chocolate and drizzle that over the popcorn.
Give it a good tossing.

Then spread it out onto a cookie sheet
so the chocolate can harden and cool.

Break it into pieces and enjoy!!!
