When IT Guy and I married, he
introduced me to snacking at night. In my family, growing up, dinner was
promptly eaten at 5:00 pm...rain or shine. My mom didn't fix very many
desserts unless we were having company so if we wanted a little
something to eat in the evening, we had a bowl of ice cream or maybe a
bowl of cereal. Chips were unheard of. So after I married IT Guy and he
broke out the chips one evening and started eating them, I looked at him
like he was from Mars. I couldn't believe my eyes and just KNEW the
police would show up at our doorstep at any moment and haul him off to
the pokey. But he convinced me it was the thing to do...having chips in
the evening. I just wish I'd had this dip back then. It's so good and we
can't get enough of it. It's better if it sits a few hours in the
fridge....over night is better. If you don't want to mess with cooking
the bacon, you can always use the pre-cooked bacon bits. This stuff is
addicting, I'm telling you!
