Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

Cinnamon Crunch Popcorn

I have several packages of cinnamon baking chips in my pantry so I'm always looking for something to do with them. After re-posting an older recipe for white chocolate popcorn recently, I had an "a-ha" moment. Cinnamon popcorn! Adding some pretzels and some cashews made for a really good snack!

Cinnamon Crunch Popcorn

1 package cinnamon baking chips
1 package white chocolate chips
6 cups popped popcorn
1 cup pretzels
1 6-ounce container cashews

Place popped popcorn in a large bowl.

Pour pretzels and cashews on top of popcorn.

In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the cinnamon chips.

Pour melted cinnamon chips on top of popcorn mixture. Stir well to coat.

Pour mixture onto a large piece of waxed paper or onto a large cookie sheet.

In another small bowl, melt the white chocolate chips.

Drizzle over cinnamon popcorn mixture.

Allow to cool.

Okay...let's go. This is so easy.

Then melt the while chocolate.
Then melt the white chocolate.

Lay out the cinnamon coated popcorn mixture on some waxed paper or in a large baking pan. Then drizzle with the melted white chocolate.

Allow the mixture to dry, then break into pieces! Try not to eat it all at once!
