Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

My family loves bread. There's a recipe listed here on the blog called Easy-Cheesy Bread that's similar to this. If you love ranch dressing and cheese...(and who doesn't??) then you will love this.

Cheesy Ranch Bread

1 loaf french bread
1 stick butter - softened
3 cups shredded Jack cheese
1 cup ranch dressing

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Split the french bread and spread each half with butter.

In a medium bowl, combine the shredded Jack cheese and the ranch dressing. Place split bread on a large baking sheet.  Spread the cheese mixture of each half of the bread. Bake bread for 10 minutes. Then broil until top is golden brown and bubbly. Slice on the diagonal and serve with soup or spaghetti.

This is all you need
for this yummy bread.

Split the loaf down the middle.

Add the ranch dressing to the cheese.

Combine well.

Spread some of the mixture
on each half of the bread.

Bake it for about 10 minutes then
broil it for a few minutes to get those
yummy brown spots on there.
Let it cool for a minute then slice it up
and serve it with spaghetti or salads.
