Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

Crock Pot Chops

Pork chops are something we all like around the SFFS house. We like the thin ones best, bone in or not...but really we'll eat them any which way. Making them this way is incredibly easy and the end result is such a fork-tender and delicious piece of meat. You just won't believe how they almost just fall apart before you can get them out of the slow-cooker. I served some roasted potatoes with mine but rice would be a good choice, too since the liquid is pretty good and the rice would soak that up and make for some tasty eatin'!

Crock Pot Chops

6 - 8 pork chops ~ bone-in or boneless
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon paprika
1 clove garlic ~ minced
salt and pepper to taste

Spray your crock pot (or use a liner) with cooking spray then place chops inside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the rest of the ingredients.

Pour over pork chops.

Cook on low 4 -5 hours or until done, making sure the chops stay separated during cooking.

Let's go! Spray the crock pot with cooking spray then put the chops inside.

Seriously...these come out tender and moist and FULL of flavor! You need to try them soon!
