Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

Cheeseburger Sliders

This is just about the easiest way to make some quick burgers that ever existed. Not only are they easy but they are delicious! These would be great to serve as little appetizers or to serve at a kids party...or any party! They’re yummy as is or you can break out all the fixin’s and go crazy! Give ‘em a try and see for yourself!

Cheeseburger Sliders
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 small onion ~ finely diced
6 slices cheddar cheese
1 12-pack package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, garlic powder, pepper and diced onion.
Press mixture into a square, a little larger than the packaged rolls, on a baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove ground beef layer from the pan onto a cutting board.
Drain any fat from the pan.
Slice rolls in half lengthwise but do not separate individual rolls.
Place the bottom half of the rolls on the pan.
Place ground beef on top of the rolls then top with cheese slices.
Cover the meat and cheese with the top of the rolls.
Brush with melted butter then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 20 minutes.

Here we go!!!

Mix together the ground beef,
diced onion, and seasonings.

Pat the mixture into a rectangle, a little larger than the buns are in the package.

Bake it for 20 minutes then remove to a cutting board. Drain the fat from the pan.

Slice the rolls in half and place the bottom half on the baking sheet.

Place the cooked meat on
the bottom of the sliced rolls then add the cheese slices.

Top with the other half of the sliced rolls then brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Slice and enjoy!!
