Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

There's nothing better than an easy slow-cooker meal and this one doesn't get any easier. I served this over rice but sandwiches would be great. Another thing I did with some of the leftovers was I put the chicken mixture in a flour tortilla with a few pepperoncini slices for IT Guy's lunch. Add an extra clove of garlic if you want or more honey if you like it sweeter. Super good, guys!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
⅓ cup honey
1 cup ketchup
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 large cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste

Spray the inside of your crock pot with cooking spray.

Season chicken with salt and pepper and place your chicken breasts in the crock pot.

In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the honey, ketchup, soy sauce and minced garlic.

Pour mixture over chicken and allow to cook for 6 - 8 hours on high or 4 - 5 hours on low until tender.

Shred chicken and serve over rice or as sandwiches.
