Welcome!

Welcome to Simple Fare, Fairly Simple. This is a place for me to post recipes of all kinds...along with other miscellaneous fodder from my so-called life here in the south. Who knows what you will find here. Could be anything from my husband...known as IT Guy...to my kids and beautiful grandbabies that are growing up way too fast right before my eyes. But...mostly this will be a place for food. I hope you'll see something you like and if you decide to try something from the list...leave me a comment and let me know!

Banana Cream Cheese Pie

Here's a super simple no cook dessert from my family cookbook. My oldest cousin was the contributor of this recipe. In the cookbook he calls it "Nanner Cream Cheese Pie" but I just can't make myself say that so I'm sticking with Banana instead of Nanner. What's funny about this is the very last line in the recipe says..."this is great. It will knock your socks in the creek". And you know what? He's right! This was really good. The cream filling has a little lemon kick to it which I enjoyed and it helped to tone down the banana. All the right flavors for an easy and delicious pie!

Banana Cream Cheese Pie

3 medium bananas
1 8-ounce package cream cheese ~ room temperature
1 can sweetened condensed milk
