Here's a little something I commissioned my daughter-in-law to make for me. I had seen this done on Pinterest and loved it!
Here's the lowdown on how we created this lovely board.
I got a piece of scrap plywood from my husband's shop. My piece is about 3 feet x 2 feet but yours can be any size, depending on what you want.
I painted it black. After the black was dry, I painted it a celery green color. After that dried my DIL painted the words on it with acrylic paints and a white marker. She gave it back to me and distressed the whole thing with sandpaper, concentrating on the corners and edges. Then I watered down some light brown paint and went over the surface, wiping off the excess. Turned out great!!! I ordered three little vinyl bird decals from Etsy (link below) to top it off. I hung the sign up and put the decals on the wall right above the sign.
You can find my DIL's Facebook page here. She does wonderful work on all sorts of surfaces.
You can find her Etsy page here. She takes special orders on all kinds of things.
